Hmmmmm. Personal Statement.
Schooled in Ficksburg - there is a wikipedia entry, but not very interesting.
Studied in Stellenbosch University - did not complete as electronic engineering turned out to be 'not for me!'
Switched to Mainframe System Programming for a large corporation - aka Dilbert style. This was based in Cape Town, and thoroughly enjoyed, but realized would be spending my life doing the same thing day in and day out. So I needed a change.
emigrated (temporarily 3 years and counting) to england and after fits and starts began working within BT as an application support specialist contractor.
Got fired as a security risk. But 18 months later, and a few stints working as a support analyst and junior (very) website designer with Danny ended up back at BT working on the largest Civil IT project in europe - ever..
So am living with the girlfriend in the peak district and commuting through to Sheffield, attempting to keep fit through running, gym and fencing. But trying to study towards my Bsc(Hons) in Computing via Sheffield Hallam - only just started but so far so good.
Don't expect blog entries, as I'm uncomfortable baring my soul randomly, but if you want to know something you can always ask. The worst I can do is say no!
